Meet the Staff
Laura Crandall, M.S.
Director, Student Involvement and Leadership
Laura has been a member of the staff of Student Affairs at ESF since February of 2011 but received her bachelor's degree from ESF in 2005. Laura oversees all of student events on campus including the 30 student organizations, student government, major campus events, and leadership programming on campus. Laura is involved in many different committees at ESF but the favorite part of her job is working with the students.
Prior to joining ESF, Laura received her Master of Science degree in Higher Education at Syracuse University. During that time until 2011, Laura worked in a number of offices at Syracuse University including the Housing and Meal Plan Office, Off-Campus Services, and Orientation.
Laura is from Buffalo, NY but has lived in Syracuse since 2001. She resides in Liverpool with her spouse David (Class of 2004) and two daughters Avery and Adelyn.
Catherine (Cat) Miller
Program Coordinator, Student Involvement and Leadership
Cat has been a member of the staff of Student Affairs at ESF since January of 2013. She facilitates the Emerging Leaders Workshop Series and coordinates the Transfer Student Mentor Program. Cat also advises the Student Activities Programming Board and assists with major campus events such as New Student Orientation. She enjoys working at ESF because of the incredible students she has the opportunity to work with who truly want to make a difference.
Cat is currently pursuing her Masters of Science degree in Higher Education at Syracuse University. Prior to working at SUNY-ESF, Cat worked at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, as well as with the Queering Education Research Institute, both at Syracuse University. In 2012, she received her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Cat is originally from Vestal, NY.
