Meet the Staff
Academic Support Services Office

scott blair Scott J. Blair, M.Ed.
Academic Support Services Coordinator

Scott has been a member of the Student Affairs staff at SUNY-ESF since 2008 and oversees the operation of the Academic Support Services Office and its' principal programs such as the Peer Tutoring Program, the First Year Learning Team, the Academic Success Center, and academic support for students on academic probation. At ESF, Blair serves on numerous committees and is a 2010 recipient of the SUNY-ESF Undergraduate Student Association Special Recognition Award for service to students.

Prior to joining ESF, Mr. Blair spent time as a Residence Director for the Office of Residence Life at Syracuse University. While a member of their staff, Blair ran a variety of programs while also acting as a co-chair for the department's Diversity Committee.

A member of the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), Mr. Blair holds a Master of Education degree in Higher Education-Administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. During his graduate school experience, Scott served as a graduate assistant for the Student Support Services Program and also for the Office of New Student Programs & Services. Scott also holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Kutztown University in Secondary Education-English. Blair also serves as a Writing Program Instructor and as head coach of the college's men's basketball program.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela and a native of Pennsylvania, Scott and his wife Katie reside in Liverpool with their daughter Sydney.

Peer Tutor Coordinator

Erin is entering her fourth year as a member of the staff in the Academic Support Services Office. As the Peer Tutor Coordinator, Erin oversees the scheduling of our tutors for our Peer Tutoring Program and assists the office in monitoring weekly usage and attendance of our available tutoring opportunities.

A member of UMEB (Undergraduate Mentor in Environmental Biology) and a member of the college's Honors Program, Erin is a very active student leader at ESF. Erin hails from Poughkeepsie, NY and is a Senior Conservation Biology major. Erin also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Albany (2007).
