Connecting with Adobe GoLive
GoLive Mac Users
There are intractable issues with site management using GoLive for Mac and WebDAV. Contact web@esf.edu if you have problems. You must have GoLive CS2 or newer! Older versions cannot handle SSL security (the "s" part of https://). If you use GoLive to create and edit webpages but do not manage a complete site, you may wish to keep using your current version of GoLive but upload your files with another method (see XP/IE, Vista or Mac WebDAV pages)
For GoLive sites...
- In the Site menu, first choose "Settings..." submenu.
- Click on "Publish Server."
- Make sure that "http" is selected in the "Protocol" dropdown menu.
- Type "wwwpublish.esf.edu" or "cwwpublish.esf.edu" in the "Server" field.
- Type "/foldername..." in the "Directory" field (might be multiple folders, e.g., "/efb/faculty"
- Add your username and password (same as it was for ftp)
- Click the "Advanced..." button and check the "SSL" checkbox.
See the image below.

Connect to your site or directly to your publish server as you always have.
For upload/download without opening or creating a GoLive site...
- In the File menu choose "Server > Connect to WebDAV"
- Click "Edit Servers..."
