Setting Up FeedForAll to Use WebDAV
New connection/configuration info
You must change how you specify the server you access to the following form:
https://wwwpublish.esf.edu,
https://cwwpublish.esf.edu or
https://campuspublish.esf.edu
Note the use of "https" instead of "http" and the addition of "publish" to each server's address (bold NOT needed).
Setting up FeedForAll...
Once WebDAV is in place, FeedForAll users will no longer use the green-arrow upload and download buttons to publish work. Instead, the simple act of saving work will publish it.
Saving, however, requires connection to the WebDAV server. There is at least one method that will work:
- Connect to your folder on the web server via WebDAV using Internet Explorer, as described HERE.
- Drag the .xml file that FeedForAll creates/saves into the IE window to overwrite the older version.
We hope to offer a simpler method shortly, by which you will only have to save when you are finished working in FeedForAll and publishing will happen automatically.
