College Information Sessions 2-hour sessions for high school students who have not yet applied — offered throughout the year

At College Information Sessions, Admissions Office staff members meet with small groups of high school students and their families, providing information and answering questions about academic programs, campus life, admissions and financial aid. The program concludes with a campus tour led by an ESF Student Ambassador.

Open HousesOctober and April

SUNY-ESF's Open House program offers students and their families a look at all facets of academic and student life. The event features presentations by faculty members and demonstrations of ESF's specialized learning facilities. Visitors also hear from staff members in Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, housing and dining services. Student Ambassador led tours of the ESF campus are available. Depending on the sessions attended, visitors are on campus for 3-6 hours (morning to mid-afternoon).

School Break Visitations Indigenous Peoples' Day and Veteran's Day school holidays Includes Departmental Workshops from 11:45 am to 12:45pm

On both the Indigenous Peoples' Day (October) and Veteran’s Day (November) school holidays, we offer morning and afternoon College Information Sessions for high school students. You can attend either 2-hour session and still have time to visit another college in the region. The College Information Session will introduce you to ESF’s academic and student life experiences.

You may also attend one of the 1-hour Departmental Workshops offered from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. — between the morning and afternoon College Information Sessions. Pre-registration is not required for Departmental Workshops.

Information Meetings by AppointmentOffered throughout the year

If you are unable to attend an official event, you may call to schedule an individual meeting with a member of the Admissions staff. Available Monday - Friday, individual meetings provide the same information as our formal programs, include a campus tour and last approximately 2 hours. Individual meeings are not formal interviews, and are not required or considered in the admission process.

To schedule an individual visit, call the Admissions Office at 315-470-6600.
