Event Description:
The Environmental Summit is a research symposium designed to bring together a community of high school students taking ESF courses at their schools to present and discuss their original research to their peers, high school and college science faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. The research is conducted as part of the Global Environment (EFB 120) course curriculum, enabling the high school students to engage not only in the knowledge but process of science. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to come view the presentations and posters. If you are interested in helping judge any of the presentations or posters please contact Brandon Murphy bmurphy@esf.edu. Presentations are capped at 15 minutes (including questions), and you don’t have to commit to being there for the whole time. The preliminary schedule is as follows: 8:00am - Registration/Check-In and Poster Setup in Alumni Lounge; 9:00am - Student Presentations in Baker Laboratory Rooms 145/146/148/159; 11:45am - Transition to Alumni Lounge for Keynote Speaker; 11:55am - Keynote Address; 12:15pm - Lunch and Poster Sessions (Mixer Style)/
