We’re ESF — the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry — and we invite you to continue your college journey with us. We work to address the Earth’s most pressing problems and students come here because they want to be part of the solution.
If you choose to continue your bachelor’s degree at ESF, we’ll support you every step of the way to ensure you stay on track to graduation. We have a long-standing tradition of enrolling and supporting transfer students; in fact, about 40% of ESF students are transfers. Here, you’ll find a welcoming, rigorous, and supportive community.
Like Caz, we’re a close-knit community. Our professors are committed to giving all students the personal attention they deserve to help them succeed in their academic program and prepare for the future, which begins in our smaller classes (14:1 student-to-faculty ratio).
Learn from ESF’s hands-on approach through research, field work, and internships. Our campus spans from Syracuse across more than 25,000 acres of forests and wetlands at our field stations throughout Central New York, the Thousand Islands, and the Adirondacks.
Get involved in one of our 12 athletics teams or through one of our more than 40 student clubs and organizations to help build your co-curricular involvement, community network, and leadership skills.
Take advantage of our academic and personal support services such as tutoring, academic coaching and workshops, counseling services, and career services.
Our graduates have amazing outcomes — 94% of the Class of 2021 was employed and/or attending graduate school within six months of graduation.
Gain access to big university benefits through our partnership with Syracuse University. ESF students can take classes, use facilities, and join clubs and organizations at SU, including Greek Life, intramural and club sports, and religious and community service organizations. SU also provides additional on-campus dining options.
