Lodging and Travel

There are numerous hotels and motels in the Syracuse area and you are welcome to reserve space where you desire. Reduced rates for Symposium attendees have been negotiated at the following hotels and are the closest to campus. Rooms are based on availability and reservations must be made directly with the hotel prior to May 1, 2019 in order to receive the reduced rate.

  • Check-in time is 3:00 PM, check-out time is 12 noon.
  • Complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport available during certain hours (see "Airport" section below)

  • $98.00 per night
  • Check-in time is 3:00 PM, check-out time is 12 noon.

Traveling to Syracuse

Airport

The airport serving the Syracuse metropolitan area is Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Both the Parkview Hotel and the Hotel Skyler have a complimentary shuttle service running from the airport to each hotel. To schedule the shuttle, please call the hotel directly once you land. The shuttles are available during the following hours:

  • Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Train and Bus Service

The William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (RTC) houses both the train and bus station. Amtrak, Greyhound, Trailways, and Megabus have services from Syracuse. Centro public buses run from campus to the Regional Transportation Center on a regular basis.

    Tickets must be purchased online prior to travel. Tickets are not available for purchae at the Regional Transportation Center.
