A chemical engineering degree offers opportunities.
Our courses give students the appropriate background to specialize in any field of modern chemical engineering. Our bachelor’s program offers a number of complementary minors, including:
- Bioprocess Science
- Computer & Information Technology
- Management
- Paper Science

Our students work on cutting-edge research.
Hands-on experience is a critical component of learning, and our students participate through department laboratories, where they can put the tools that they learn into practice.

Real-world experience is a cornerstone of our program.
There are numerous internship opportunities available in ESF lab, industry-leading sustainable materials and packaging manufacturers, and national and international research laboratories. We encourage our students to gain real-world experience through internships and co-ops, and help them to establish connections with employers.

Our graduates are in demand.
Post-graduate outcomes have never been stronger, and our graduates are in high demand. Over the past few years, almost 100% of our graduates are employed or pursuing graduate studies. Many students receive their job offer from an internship sponsor well in advance of their graduation. The future is bright for sustainable and green engineering.

Out students get involved on campus.
Another way our students get involved is through the College’s clubs and organizations, such as the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, TAPPI, Engineers Without Borders, or Engineering for a Sustainable Society.
