A specialization of chemical engineering, paper engineering focuses on development and manufacturing of products made of sustainable, renewable paper and pulp fiber.

Why Paper Engineering?

Not Your Ordinary Degree!

The PE program is supported by industry partners who help many students graduate debt-free.

In addition to standard aid, successful PE students earn $20,000+ in scholarships.
As they approach graduation, students commonly receive several job offers.

In 2019, paper engineering graduates earned an average starting salary over $70K.

As a PE student at ESF, you will work through a chemical engineering-based curriculum with outstanding faculty in a facility dedicated to PE education and research. Paper engineers develop lightweight, environment-friendly and renewable fiber-based packaging, personal care items, healthcare products, etc., but they are also found at companies like Amazon and Tesla, working on automotive, building, and aircraft components, advanced battery and energy storage technologies, packaging-on-demand solutions, and much more. A PE degree is a ticket to a bright future!
