Student Clubs

ESF has over 40 clubs! Many clubs include aspects of sustainability in their activities. However, there are two clubs in particular that are almost entirely focused on this topic. Do you want your club added to this page? Email sustainability@esf.edu to let us know!

Green Campus Initiative (GCI)

GCI has a long history on campus! The Club was founded in 2008 and has been focused on building student sustainability knowledge and skills, both on and off campus. The club hosts DIY workshops, brings composting to students off campus (via the Compost Cab) and creates upcycled notebooks. Follow @GCIESF on Facebook for the most up to date information about the club. Email President Sachi Segan for more information about the club and visit our People page to meet the Club's student leadership team.

Undergraduate Student Association's (USA) SustainabiliTEAM

SustainabiliTEAM was founded in 2018 and takes a more broad, campus wide view of sustainability. The club has conducted waste audits to help inform zero waste progress on campus and invites members of the campus community to join the ESF Drawdown Ecochallenge team. Email Director Shenequa Perry for more information about the club and visit our People page to meet the Club's student leadership team.

Student and Staff Sustainability Exchange Program

Green Campus Initiative (GCI) and SustainabiliTEAM leaders meet with Sustainability Division staff once a month during the academic year so each group can provide an update about their key projects, identify synergies between the groups, request assistance where needed and discuss initiatives that students would like to see implemented on campus.
