TRINITY is a institute governed by ESF, the Village of Minoa, SKD Environmental Systems LLC, and the SUNY-Research Foundation with a focus on basic and applied research across fields and disciplines.

The mission of TRINITY Institute is to develop, advance, adapt, implement and promote sustainable energy, water and wastewater treatment technologies and the processes for municipalities, agricultural and industrial applications with strong educational and public service components. All sustainable energy and water system research, development and demonstration activities, are carried out in TRINITY ESF Laboratories, site specific locations and at the Village of Minoa's Cleanwater Educational Research Facility.
