Federal Stafford Loan

As of May 12, 2010 SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry has fully transitioned to the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program for all federal student loans and federal parent loans (PLUS).  Students or parents who are interested in obtaining federal loans to help with educational costs must utilize the Direct Loan Program.  

Student or parent borrowers with questions about existing federal loans that were obtained through the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) are encouraged to visit the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) for specific information regarding those loans.  In order to access the system, the borrower will need to provide personal information and a federal PIN.  PINs can be reissued or replaced at www.pin.ed.gov.

Staff members from the SUNY ESF Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships are also available to assist with any questions regarding existing loans.
