Visiting the Ranger School Campus in Wanakena
The Ranger School campus of SUNY-ESF is located in the central Adirondack Mountains near the hamlet of Wanakena. The sophomore year of the Associate degree programs in Forest Technology and Land Surveying Technology is completed at this campus after fulfilling the first year course requirements. The faculty, staff and students of The Ranger School welcome visitors for individual appointments or at Open House events, as outlined below.
The Ranger School Open House
Located in the heart of the Adirondack Park, The Ranger School is the perfect place to learn the science and technology associated with forest and recreation management, or surveying. A complimentary lunch will be provided. Registration is required.

Ranger School Campus Visits
The faculty and staff of the Ranger School welcomes visitors to the Wanakena campus in the Central Adirondack Mountains. Arrangements to spend a morning or afternoon meeting with Ranger School personnel and exploring the 2,500 acre Dubuar Forest campus may be made by calling (315) 848-2566.
