Learning Through Development: Collective Impact at the Arcahaie Sustainable Village and Learning Community

Arcahaie, Haiti, is located approximately 50 km west of Port au Prince. SUNY ESF is part of a team of SUNY campuses that are working with non-profit local and international organizations in the region to develop sustainable solutions to multiple environmental and social challenges. These were identified in previous studies and include flooding and stormwater, fresh water, agriculture and food, renewable energy, human and solid waste, transportation, capacity building and post-secondary education and employment opportunities for the local community related to addressing these challenges.
This project will be part of a Special Topics Class: Resilient Systems (LSA 496/696 Section 02, MW 5:15-6:35PM)
