STEP Call for Papers
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 - Friday, April 29, 2011
12:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Maxwell School’s Students for Tomorrow's Environmental Policy (STEP) student organization serves as a forum for environmental policy discussion, as a vehicle for environmental career exploration, and as a platform for engaging the Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF community in issues related to environmental sustainability. (http://cepa.maxwell.syr.edu/step/)
In conjunction with the 2011 SU Sustainability Showcase theme of "Sustainability for a Livable Future (http://sushowcase.syr.edu/)," STEP invites graduate student paper submissions with topics exploring the policy, management and science implications of diminishing resources, energy challenges, and evolving human impacts on the natural environment.
Submitted papers will be posted on the STEP website and highlighted in other outlets beginning on April 2, 2011. STEP has a large audience spanning multiple schools and disciplines within Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure and feedback for research underway or completed, as well as to engage the SU community in sustainability dialogue. Published authors will be honored at STEP's end of the year Sustainability Celebration.
Suggested content areas include but are not limited to:
