Auction to benefit Heifer International
Monday, November 14, 2011
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Please consider attending or donating new or slightly used items to the Heifer Give Auction. The Heifer Give Auction donates all money raised to Heifer International to help them with their mission. Read the letter from Baobab president Nory Mitchell:
My name is Nory Mitchell and I am President of the Baobab Society, an organization dedicated to raising cultural awareness within the SUNY ESF/SU college communities. On behalf of The Baobab Society, I am emailing to seek participation in our annual Heifer International Charity Auction on Monday November 14th from 5:00-7:00PM. The auction is being held for Heifer International, an organization that gives gifts of livestock and training to help families around the world improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways.
We are currently asking faculty to donate slightly used items to be auctioned off during the event. It is also possible for services to be donated (i.e. rides to the airport/bus station, pet sitting, or even baked goods).
There are boxes located outside of the Office of Multicultural Affairs (24 Bray) and if you'd like to donate services please email Dr. Raydora Drummer Francis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self-reliance and hope". -- Heifer International
