You are invited to join the 2nd Annual Earth Week Hike for Honduras at Clark’s Reservation State Park, 6105 East Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville. The hike is a fundraiser for a community water supply project in Buena Vista, a rural mountain village in Honduras. Suggested donation is $10, however additional donations will gladly be accepted the day of the hike. Top donors will receive a prize and additional raffle tickets, which will be sold at the hike. Raffle prizes include gift certificates to various Syracuse-area shops and eateries, including Mello Velo Bicycle Shop, Sweet-on-Chocolate, etc. Participants are encouraged to seek sponsorship from their family or friends, where sponsors offer to pledge a given amount of money for the hiker’s participation. Sponsorship cards and accounting sheets can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/iiC2SU. Payment and mailing info for donations is included on the pledge cards. If you want to participate, please email Emily Wilmott (firstname.lastname@example.org) stating your interest and your plans on attending. Family-friendly hike -- bring the kids! We'll be playing games and will have lots of free food!
