Join us for a presentation with Hallie Bond, curator at the Adirondack Museum. In developing her upcoming book on food and foodways of the Adirondacks, she has learned about bread making in the days before instant yeast and Freihofer's buns. She has also uncovered the early history of beer making in the region and found that the two were complementary tasks for early Adirondackers. We'll learn about traditional bread and beer through discussion, pictures and samples of ingredients, and final products.
