The Spectacular Winter Sky

Campus Calendar

Saturday, February 9, 2013
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Location: Adirondack Interpretive Center

Event Description: Local amateur astronomer Bob Fisher will present a program exploring the natural wonders of the Winter night sky. This time of year is perfect for galaxy gazing. Participants will explore and discuss our own Milky Way, look at the latest images and recent discoveries made of the nearest galaxies, and then reach out to the "edge" of the known universe. Along the way, we will learn what modern technology has taught us about ultimate beginnings, endings and unsolved mysteries our current tools have revealed. If weather permits, we will go galaxy hunting outside the AIC. Please call or email to register.
