Lunchtime Learning Seminar: Third World Child, Growing up White in South Africa
Campus Calendar

Thursday, March 28, 2013
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Nifkin Lounge

Event Description:

Deborah June Goemans grew up in a dirty house on Cape Town's Main Road where her mother's lullabies were accompanied by the roar of the traffic and the clicking sounds of African voices as they walked towards their apartheid-forced world. She will be speaking about the art, music, and natural history of South Africa and the challenges of being a privileged beneficiary of a system she despised.
Lunch provided.
