ESPRA Plans Spring 1999 Meeting in Brazil
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Representatives of pulp and paper companies from throughout the world will gather in Brazil next year during the annual spring meeting of the Empire State Paper Research Associates (ESPRA).
The meeting will draw ESPRA members to Campos do Jordao, outside Sao Paolo, from May 10 through 14, 1999. Participants will visit Brazilian paper mills and visit Aracruz Cellulose, a pulp mill that produces 1.2 metric tons of pulp annually.
The associates are a worldwide organization of pulp, paper, and supplier companies that support the research being done by the Empire State Paper Research Institute at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in Syracuse.
ESPRA members meet twice annually. When they gather in Brazil, they will review the institute's recent research findings.
ESPRA's next meeting will be Oct. 13 through 15, 1998, in Syracuse, in conjunction with the annual Joachim Center Forum.
Anyone wishing further information about the meeting in Brazil should contact Hannu P. Makkonen, ESPRI director, by phone at (315) 470-6521, or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
