Environmental Ethics Expert Speaks at SUNY-ESF
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - An expert on environmental ethics will present a guest lecture at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF).
Donald Brown, who has served as a liaison between the United Nations and the United States Environmental Protection Agency on international environmental issues, will speak at 5 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Moon Library conference room on the ESF campus.
The title of his presentation is "How Environmental Ethical Questions Continue to be Hidden in Disputes over Environmental Science, Economics and Law."
Brown is currently senior counsel for sustainable development for the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has represented the EPA several times on U.S. delegations to United Nations meetings that have focused on agreements relating to the world's freshwater problems, biodiversity and forest loss, climate change, ocean degradation, and international hazardous and nuclear waste problems.
