SUNY Honors Two ESF Graduates


SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Stuart E. Hosler of Baldwinsville and Nancy A. Mayer of Jamesville have been named to the State University of New York 2000 Alumni Honor Roll.

Both are graduates of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), and both served as president of the ESF Alumni Association.

Hosler earned his bachelor's degree from ESF in 1952. He retired as the owner of Hosler Agency, an insurance agency. He has been active in community and environmental organizations, serving as a member of the Board of Managers for Derby Hill Bird Observatory. He also served as president of the Onondaga County Nature Center and the Onondaga County Chapter of the Audubon Society.

Mayer received her bachelor's degree in 1971 and is currently pursuing a master's degree at ESF. She is a manufacturing consultant for Donald J. Mayer & Associates, a company she founded with her husband in 1988. The company helps clients make the transition from traditional manufacturing to cellular/flow manufacturing.
