SUNY-ESF Lecture Series Examines the Dollars and Cents of Sustainability
April 15 at ESF
Good quality urban design and profitability will be the focus of the 25th George J. Albrecht Memorial Lecture at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF).
Mark Falcone, managing director of the Continuum Partners, LLC, will speak on "The Dollars and Cents of Sustainability" at the April 15 lecture beginning at 7 p.m. in Marshall Hall auditorium on the ESF campus. Falcone will demonstrate why development patterns centered on the principles of smart growth are profitable for developers. He will also look at how to create such places from scratch and still play by today’s investment criteria. Falcone will also tell how developers will have to adapt in order to meet the growing demands of the community.
The event is sponsored by the Faculty of Landscape Architecture, American Society of Landscape Architects Upstate chapter and the Mollet Club.
