Safer Roads for Cyclists
Focus of ESF Workshop
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) will host a free workshop on bicycle and pedestrian safety and roadway planning May 7.
Held in conjunction with the New York Bicycling Coalition, the "Better Roads for New York State" workshop will provide participants the opportunity to discuss solutions for accommodating cyclists and pedestrians on roadways and pathways.
Presentations on the latest health, infrastructure planning and advocacy methods will take place from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in 5 Illick Hall. A bike ride around the university neighborhood to show examples of bike lanes and opportunities will be lead by John Murray and Don Hughes of the Syracuse Onondaga Cycling Coalition from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and breakout discussions will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.
