Meyer Named Chair of Construction Management and Wood Products Engineering
Succeeds Dr. George H. Kyanka
Dr. Robert W. Meyer was appointed chair of the Faculty of Construction Management and Wood Products Engineering.
Meyer succeeds Dr. George H. Kyanka, who continues his responsibilities in teaching and research at ESF.
Meyer directs ESF's Tropical Timber Information Center. His research specialties include wood anatomy and ultrastructure, tropical woods, wood structure and utilization, and wood permeability.
Meyer earned his bachelor of science in forestry and master of forestry degrees from the University of Washington. He earned his doctorate from ESF.
Meyer joined the college faculty in 1979 following positions at Washington State University and Canada's Western Forest Products Laboratory.
