ESF Students Host Fundraiser for Westcott Children's Program
Laura Dicarlo and ESF club members help "Kids' Club"
SYRACUSE, N.Y.Students from the SUNY College of Environmental Scienceand Forestry (ESF) are organizing a fundraiser to benefit the Kids' Club Program at the Westcott Community Center.
Laura Dicarlo, a senior environmental biology major, is heading up the basket raffle to take place April 28 at 5 p.m. at the Westcott Community Center. Gift certificates and gift baskets will be raffled off. Any business or individual who would like to donate a gift basket or certificate should contact Dicarlo at Ldicarlo@syr.edu.
Chemistry students in the Alchemist Club will demonstrate how to make liquid nitrogen ice cream, and paper science and engineering students in the Papyrus Club will make handmade paper.
Dicarlo volunteers with the Kids' Club Program through ESF's Service Learning Initiative which combines academic instruction with community service.
