Syracuse Common Council Hears Green Power Plans

Shrub willow fuel source developed by ESF researchers

The Syracuse Common Council learned details of a new power plant project at a work session Wednesday, August 9, 2006. The fuel for the power plant will come from shrub willow developed by SUNY-ESF partnering with Siemens and O'Brien and Gere Engineering. A story about the project was aired on 9 WSYR TV during their evening news.
