Mighty Oaks Basketball Team Earns First Intercollegiate Win
Elmira JV varsity falls, 71-62
12/10/2012
The ESF men's basketball team finished its fall slate with a 71-62 victory over the Elmira College JV team, marking the ESF program's first win as an official collegiate team.
The Mighty Oaks were led by Danny MacElrath's team high 14 points and Sage Beemer's double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mighty Oaks sealed the win with some clutch shooting down the stretch as Elmira fought back from an ESF 44-28 halftime advantage.
The Mighty Oaks look to build a winning streak with their next contest when they travel to Penn State Wilkes-Barre Jan. 10.
