I believe that sustainable energy will be the key to solving at least 25% of environmental problems. My goal is to understand the science and engineering behind renewable energy to come up with innovative solutions down the road, and perhaps invent a new type of renewable energy that hasn't been conceived yet.

Outside of Graduate School
I am an avid music composer, specializing in genres of film orchestra, jazz, Celtic music, small "family" ensembles, and a'cappella (voice only) groups. I have premiered compositions with a dozen groups in four states, including in our own community with the ESF Ecotones in Spring 2013.
I am a motivated, highly active, and enthusiastic person in all environments. I get true pleasure out of discovery and learning, and love to solve problems. I am driven to contribute to human progress towards greener and more sustainable means of meeting our growing energy and material needs. I also love music and dance.
