Immigration Documents

It is your responsibility to review all of the information indicated on your immigration documents to ensure accuracy and validity; this is part of maintaining non-immigrant status.

  • If any of the information of your immigration documentation is incorrect or has changed (e.g., name, finances), please contact the Office of International Education so that guidance can be obtained or an updated I-20/DS-2019 can be issued.
  • Monitor all document expiration dates and seek document renewal or extension in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a personal file of all of your immigration documentation (e.g., previous I-20's/ DS-2019s; copies of your SEVIS fee receipt, passport, visa, I-94, Employment Authorization Document (EAD) etc). You will have to provide copies for document updates and immigration benefit applications.
