The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry is located in the city of Syracuse on the "University Hill" overlooking downtown and Onondaga Lake. With a population of approximately 160,000 people, Syracuse is the largest city in Central New York and hosts an impressive array of cultural resources. All of the academic facilities on the Syracuse campus of ESF are located adjacent to the Syracuse University Carrier Dome, a major landmark on the ground and in the air.
The College welcomes and encourages visitors to its campuses. High school students should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to schedule participation in a College Information Session, usually conducted on each Friday or holidays throughout the year.

Prospective transfer students who wish to visit the Syracuse campus, meet with a member of the admissions staff, take a campus tour, or possibly meet with a member of the faculty are asked to make an appointment through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Tours led by ESF students are provided by the Admissions Office most weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Students interested in visiting the Ranger School should check the Ranger School visitation calendar or make arrangements directly with that campus.
