Hudson River Watershed Ecology
Student Projects
There will be a term project that will be due on the last day of class (April 23).  
The purpose of the projects is for you to identify and propose interesting watershed ecological 
research that could be done within the Hudson River Watershed.  
You may base the research on ideas you found interesting in the lectures, in the readings, or 
elsewhere.  You can also talk to me, if you are stuck for ideas.
You may:
· work in groups of 2 – 4 people; or
· work solo.
Deliverables and Dates:
Feb. 5th: turn in preliminary idea for project
March 5th: · 1-page on progress to date; 
· list of at least 10 papers that you have researched in support of project
April 23st:  Turn in final proposal:
o     15 pages (including figures & tables)
o     At least 25 references
