SUNY-ESF's Job Location and Development Program was created with the goal of bringing together students seeking employment and firms seeking competent and qualified employees.
In addition to helping students more easily afford the ever-increasing costs of higher education, the JLD Program provides an opportunity for specific career-related experience and involvement in the work world. Registered students will be listed in the JLD employee list and have access to all position listings.
For employers, the program provides a pool of highly motivated, enthusiastic, and well-trained candidates eager to make a good impression. Student employees can also offer a level of flexibility not otherwise available in the general workforce. Registered employers may advertise any available positions through the program in various ways, including flyers on bulletin boards, links on the Internet, and direct e-mails to registered students. In addition, the program maintains a list of registered students for specific recruitment needs.
Students: The JLD Program is open to all currently enrolled SUNY ESF students, both full and part-time. Since the program is not part of Federal College Work-Study, financial aid eligibility is not required.
Employers: Anyone looking to hire a student employee is encouraged to take advantage of the program. Beyond the wages paid to hired employees, there are no associated fees.
Students seeking employment should first complete the JLD Student Data Form to register with the program. This form is available at the SUNY ESF Financial Aid Office, 113 Bray Hall, or as a .pdf file from the link below. Once registered, students will have access to all positions listed with the program and may choose to receive a notification e-mail each time a new job is posted. Students who find employment through the JLD Program must notify the school of their employment status.
Employers seeking student employees should also complete a registration/employment assistance request form, which will be mailed to past participants or can be downloaded in .pdf format from the link below. In addition, position listings can be sent by phone (315-470-6673), fax (315-470-4734), or e-mail (mjhill@esf.edu).
Please use the links below to access the various forms needed to participate in the program. You may need to download the free Adobe Reader to view and print the files. All correspondence should be sent to:
