SUNY ESF Financial Literacy Series
2009-2010
The ESF Office of Financial Aid is pleased to announce its 2009-2010
Financial Literacy program series for
all ESF Undergraduate and Graduate students. Faculty and staff are welcome to
attend too. The purpose of this series is to provide ESF
students with a basic working knowledge of their own personal finances,
including topics such as frugal living, smart credit, your credit life
story, and identity theft. The presenters at these workshops will
be AFCPE certified
experts and financial planners from areas of consumer credit
counseling.
All sessions will run approximately one hour in length and be held in
the Marshall Hall Auditorium.Free
refreshments will be offered at each session!

So you think you're ready for your first credit card? There are lots of things to consider when you make this big decision. Will you know how to go about selecting that card? And what about the day when your first bill arrives - reading and understanding it may be a bigger challenge than you bargained for. Learn how to get started and continue the wise use of credit cards, and what your rights and responsibilities are as a cardholder. Leave prepared to send in your application and get started.

presented in conjunction with the National Student Loan Program (NSLP). It is a
service for all ESF students on behalf of the Office of Financial Aid
and Scholarships. All faculty and staff are encouraged to attend
as well, and to remind students to attend.
