GLRC to Host Beach Clean-up at Southwick Beach State Park

On September 20th, 2008 New York’s Great Lakes Research Consortium is hosting its first ever beach clean-up at Southwick State Park on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario as part of this effort. We hope to recruit a solid volunteer base from other organizations throughout the area.

The clean-up will be held at Southwick Beach State Park from 10am-2pm. We encourage anybody who is interested in keeping our beaches clean to attend this event−and bring a friend! All participants will be provided a delicious BBQ lunch and a free gift!
