Education and Scholarships Opportunities for Local Students Expanded
Under the terms of a transfer partnership agreement signed Tuesday by the presidents of ESF and Onondoga Community College (OCC), ESF will guarantee admission to qualified students and provide scholarships that cover the difference in tuition costs between the two institutions. (10/1)

Final Chapter: Butter Sculpture to Biodiesel
About 900 pounds of butter goes into making the very popular State Fair Butter Sculpture. Now the once-sculpted butter is 96 gallons of biodiesel fuel being used in the ESF vehicle fleet. (9/12)

ESF Men's Soccer Team Wins Season Opener
ESF's men's soccer team opened its Collegiate Club Soccer League with a 1-0 win against Oswego State Sept. 6. The newly formed ESF women's soccer team was edged by Oswego State. (9/9)

ESF Researchers Receive Enitiative Grant
Two researchers from SUNY ESF were awarded a grant to develop a green energy cooperative. Enitiative (the Syracuse Campus-Community Entrepreneurship Initiative) awarded funding for 53 new projects centered on neighborhoods, arts and culture, and technology that connect campus and community through entrepreneurship. SUNY-ESF Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Featured on WCNY’S "Food for Thought"
Visitors to the 12-day New York State Fair (Aug. 21 through Sept. 1) had the opportunity to make paper, sample liquid nitrogen ice cream, discover the power of water, make a birdfeeder, and learn about the latest in the environmental sciences. (9/3)
