The OSCQR (Open SUNY Course Quality Review) Rubric is a course-level design rubric based on online best practices that has been adopted by much of SUNY and also the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) for reviewing and improving the instructional design and accessibility of online courses. The Open Academy is using OSCQR as a key aspect of our online education approach and we believe it has benefit for those of you interested in online education, and as a way to reflect on design quality for any course that is utilizing some online resources. This session will introduce you to using the OSCQR Rubric and the companion website http://oscqr.org/, as well as demonstrate suggestions to address some of the more critical design and accessibility elements of the rubric.
Note: please also feel free to bring your lunch.
