Event Description: The Teaching and Learning Academy is a series of workshops over the course of a semester to support faculty in the design or re-design of a course or course components of their choosing. In addition to monthly workshops, participants will also be expected to work on tasks in between sessions, applying session content to their course design, overhaul, or modest adjustment project. Teaching and Learning Collaboratory staff are also available for additional help or feedback between workshops during weekly office hours. The workshop on teaching and learning strategies focuses on learning theory and applying it in the developing instructional plans for class sessions. The workshop on course planning will cover the course development in the big picture, including curricular alignment, campus curricular procedures, course structure, writing objectives, and developing grading policies.
