Meet the Editor – Nature Climate ChangeCampus Calendar

Event Description: Please join the Office of Instruction and Graduate Studies and Office of International Education Tuesday, November 30th at 5pm in Gateway for a talk and Q and A session with Dr. Alyssa Findlay, an editor at Nature Climate Change journal. This presentation is ideal for graduate students, faculty, and anyone who wants to learn more about publishing in the Nature journals!
This presentation will introduce the journal and provide information on publishing with the journal, as well as in other journals in the Nature Portfolio. Topics covered will include what our scope is, what sort of content we have, and what we look for in papers. Information about other publishing opportunities with the Nature journals (e.g. Nature Communications, Scientific Reports) will also be presented.

About the presenter: Alyssa joined Nature Climate Change in 2019 and handles manuscripts broadly in the area of climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation. She holds a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Delaware, USA and completed postdoctoral work in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, and in the Department of Bioscience at Aarhus University, Denmark. Her research ranged from marine and lake biogeochemistry to carbon cycling in Arctic marine sediments and integrated chemical, microbiological and modelling approaches.
