AIC ProgramsSaturday, September 21, 2013
Location: Adirondack Interpretive Center, 5922 State Route 28N, Newcomb, NY
Event Description: Adventurer, Artist, Activist, Adirondacker: A day-long celebration and discussion about one of our nation’s most significant men of arts and letters. The day will began with a presentation on Kent’s unique international travelers by Ohio University’s Dr. Frederick Lewis, who revisited Kent's life, including his worldwide travels in his documentary film, a 13-year project featured on PBS.
Then visit, observe and interact with local artists painting along the trails! Afterwards, join a staff-led discussion of Rockwell Kent’s activism and conclude with a light reception and silent auction of the artists’ work from the day.
