Event Description: Lecture - "The Potential for Collaborative Design Between Landscape Architecture and Conservation Biology".
Thomas L Woltz, principal and owner of NBW will address the firm's design methodology as it applies to a wide range of landscape types including urban parks, botanic gardens, productive farmland, and restoration ecology projects. Several of the firm's projects over the past ten years were begun with collaborations in site analysis between NBW and the Roosevelt Wild Life Station at ESF.
Thomas will demonstrate the novel and creative results of the firm's collaborative approach merging art, civil engineering and conservation biology into resilient and productive landscapes.
Thomas will discuss projects from the US, Australia and New Zealand.
