Green Office Certification Program

ESF Platinum certified green officeSustainable office practices can lead to a healthier community and planet. 

ESF’s Green Office Certification Program helps employees assess their office habits and offers ways to improve them. Employees who demonstrate sustainable practices can earn bronze, silver, gold, or platinum certification, depending on how many sustainable practices are implemented. 

A sustainable space doesn’t just mean saving energy and reducing waste — it also means fostering healthy relationships with oneself and other members of the campus community. We incorporate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our certification process and focus on sustainable practices across the following areas: 

  • Energy, Printing, and Paper
  • Materials and Zero Waste
  • Food & Dining
  • Purchasing
  • Water
  • Transportation
  • Community and Wellness

The program is open to all faculty, staff, or students, independently or collectively as an office/group.
