Sustainability Ambassadors

Employees across campus are invited to serve as Sustainability Ambassadors, promoting sustainable practices through peer education.

At monthly meetings, ambassadors learn about a new sustainability topic that they are then responsible for creatively educating their colleagues about and demonstrating how to implement it into their everyday lives at ESF and beyond.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ambassadors — who are compensated for their role in helping to advance ESF’s mission — are responsible for committing an additional five hours per month to:  Communicate with colleagues in their department, division, or office about the monthly sustainability topic and upcoming sustainability events and programming
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Office of Sustainability
  • Collaborate, share insights, and discuss challenges with peer Ambassadors
  • Help identify, create, and implement new sustainability programming and resources for the campus or their home department, division, or office
