The Move-Out Program at our residence hall Centennial Hall is a campus initiative led by Oakie’s Green Team (OGT) and the Office of Sustainability. The program is designed to divert reusable materials from the landfill when students are moving out at the end of the academic year. In Spring 2024, ESF partnered with Syracuse University’s (SU) ’Cuse Collection program. 

The Move-Out Program uses PODs at different locations on the Syracuse campus as drop-off locations for gently used items students no longer need or can’t take home with them. Members of OGT and Office of Sustainability student employees collect materials, pre-sort them, and bring them to the closest POD location at SU’s Sadler Hall for donation. Local non-profits and charities are contacted to make donation pick-ups.
