Career and Internship Fair
Each year, we typically draw over 90 companies and organizations to our Career and Internship Fair. Employers are recruiting for internships, part-time openings and full-time openings for students of all majors and departments.

Fall 2020 Virtual Career and Internship Fair
Thursday, October 1, 2020, 11 am - 3 pm
Virtual via Handshake Platform
There will be no cost to register!
*The vendor is not charging for use of the platform this fall and so, we are excited to offer this fair at no cost to employers as result.
Handshake is our new system for posting opportunities to students and recruiting talent. We share this resource with Syracuse University and operate as a college within their larger umbrella. In order to register for the career fair, you must create an account in Handshake (if you haven’t done so already.) Click here to get started. *Please note, you will choose Syracuse University as the school to connect with as we (ESF) operate under Syracuse University in the Handshake system.
Registration for the Fall 2020 Virtual Career and Internship Fair is open!
Click here to register: ESF Fall 2020 Virtual Career and Internship Fair.
Upon registration, we'll review the details you submitted for approval. Later this summer, we'll follow up with details about how to engage with students in this virtual environment, including:
- Video, audio, and chat communication with students
- Group meetings with up to 50 students
- 1:1 student meetings scheduled in advance or after a group session
- Sharing your values and documentation with students ahead of time
*Note: During registration, you’ll be asked to share the number of representatives who plan to attend the fair - up to 15 representatives per employer/institution are able to participate in the fair. Each representative you register will be able to create their own unique schedule to engage with students later this summer. To learn more about these features, Handshake’s virtual fair training webinar for employers was recorded and can be accessed here.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jennifer Fazio at email@example.com or 315-470-6900. We look forward to your participation!
Searching Companies and Job Descriptions
To find the list of participating companies (and links to their profile and web site), login to Handshake. Click on 'Events' then 'Fair Search' on the top toolbars and find the ESF Career and Internship Fair.
It is a good practice, for the companies you are interested in, to check to see if they also have current job postings in Handshake. Apply if you have the skills/qualifications. Visit a company's site prior to the fair and submit your resume if you can. Then let the recruiter know what actions you have taken prior to attending the career fair. It will show them that you are motivated to work for them.
Career and Internship Fair Programming
To prepare you for the career fair, we schedule workshops around related topics. Check out the full schedule of topics and presenters by visiting the Career Development Series page.
