Staff Spotlight: Earl Bazydlo

Earl Bazydlo is in his third year at ESF and was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor 1. It's a result of the hard work Earl has done in his career with the trades.

Earl has been a licensed plumber for more than 20 years and held several positions during that time. As someone with a deep passion for the environment, sparked by many a day hiking or biking, working at ESF was always on his radar. When he moved back to Syracuse in 2013, he would scan jobs available on LinkedIn and Indeed, looking for something at ESF. Then, three years ago he got his chance and took it, starting as a Trades Specialist Plumber/Steamfitter in 2019.

At ESF, Earl enjoys solving the complex problems that can arise on a daily basis in the Facilities Department. One such situation, a water repair that involved the ESF and Syracuse University campuses. The facilities crews from both colleges came together quickly to get the job done. needed to be done on short notice and involved ESF and Syracuse University facilities teams. "The way the two campuses came together really showed the power of teamwork," Earl said.
