Event Description: Live From the White House: All Day Live-Stream (time details to follow).
On November 19th, 2015, the White House and the State Department will bring together leadership from higher education institutions, including school administrators and student leaders, to collectively call for action on climate change while encouraging a strong agreement in Paris that ultimately sets a viable path towards a low-carbon, sustainable future. Students and school leadership will join high-level government officials, celebrities, NGOs, and businesses leaders in a multi-layered event that facilitates meaningful dialogue on climate change solutions and activates an ambitious energy and voice among young people. Participating colleges and universities will have already sign a White House Act on Climate Pledge [working title] demonstrating their commitment to carrying out their own sustainability goals and supporting strong action on climate change by world leaders. This live-streamed day-of-action will also launch the Defend Our Future climate pledge students can sign to demonstrate their support.
