At our core, we’re here to enhance the well-being of the College community and foster a sense of camaraderie and connection. The Quality of Worklife Committee works to create opportunities for fun, recognition, and collaboration across campus, all while making our workplace a little brighter.

Morale-Boosting Events

We coordinate campus-wide events that bring people together, celebrate achievements, and make work-life more enjoyable. Some of our signature events include:

 

Fall Reception | A warm welcome for new employees
Holiday Social and Craft Fair | Celebrate the season with creativity and cheer
Pancake Breakfast | Start your day with a delicious treat and great company
Picnics on the Quad | Enjoy outdoor fun with colleagues
Spring Reception | Wrap up the academic year with a festive gathering

The President's QWL Awards

We develop programs to highlight employees’ awards, honors, and public service efforts, showcasing the amazing contributions they bring to the College. These awards are presented at the Spring Reception event. We encourage you to review the award eligibility below and nominate your fellow coworkers for their incredible service.

Nominations will open Feb. 17, 2025 and will close Mar. 3, 2025.

Nominees for this award:

  • Consistently bring a positive attitude to their work
  • Make a noteworthy impact on our campus community
  • Show up for their colleagues
  • Are engaged with the campus community

All ESF employees (New York State, Research Foundation, full-time, part-time, permanent, and temporary) who have worked at ESF for at least one year by Mar. 3, 2025 may be nominated for this award. 

Do you know someone who:

  • Represents the College through impactful public service?
  • Brings their work into the Syracuse and CNY community?
  • Engages in service as part of their ESF work, or engages in community service outside of ESF? 

All ESF employees (New York State, Research Foundation, full-time, part-time, permanent, and temporary) who have worked at ESF for at least one year by Mar. 3, 2025 may be nominated for this award. 

Do you know someone who: 
Has been an ESF employee for less than 3 years? 
Dove into their role at ESF with enthusiasm and positivity? 
Has embraced the ethos of ESF wholeheartedly? 
Consider nominating them for the President’s “Rising Star” Award!
